Dungeons and Dragons Australia

For the love of dice

Hey guys,

Have always been enthralled by the game, yet have never met a nice bunch of people to play with. Anyone in Melbourne interested in starting a little posse so we can play (and I can achieve my dream of learning to play)?

:)

Any preferences Suziam? I've done LARP (Vampire the Masquerade), Buffy (lots of fun!), Wheel of Time (pretty cool), Shadow Run (very fun). Everything BUT the original DnD :)

i say there's nothing better than good old ad&d to start things off. probably easier to run with the 3.5 core rather than the new. although, i have heard people say 4.0 is easier to get into if you're new..

I have always had the urge to try tabletop RPG (D&D specifically) but have never had the time or known people with the interest :(. If you are still all looking for people for a campaign I'd be very interested to learn and take part.

Hi Adam, and any other folk still looking to set up a game...

I'm in the process of reading 4th ed, slow and painful is my method. Actually think I prefer 3rd ed or 2nd. However. I am keen to be part of a game in the near future (think I'll have to bribe girlfriend to allow this but hey). Never DM'd before but might be willing to give it a try with easy going players. I have a mind like a seive not a metal trap...:) I'm in the northern suburbs but will travel if need be within reason. Hope to hear from someone soonish.

P.S Have just reached my 30th year of life and am looking for a mainly serious game but still lots of room for inane jokes and puns to liven things up.

Cheers

Andrew

I'm from the Western suburbs but would enjoy being able to play alongside people that have actually done this before.

Hey peoples!

Hope I'm not too late to jump on the bandwagon for getting into some D&D. I played tons of D&D-esque games like Baldur's gate and neverwinter and so on so I have a basic grasp of the mechanics but I've never actually played it tabletop. Looking for a pretty easy going group and it would probably be best if it was comprised of others who were not super proficient with rules either as I don't wanna frustrate people with my ignorance :P. Awesome-max, Adam (good name btw hehe), and Andrew have you guys got something set up or would like to? Or anybody else for that matter?

(I'm St.Kilda but can travel on trams and on my awesome bike of awesomeness for reasonable distances)

Fellow Adam, nowt has come to pass on the D&D front. If something can be organised then Im still interested. Back in town now after a lengthy "busyness" trip and holiday. Starting the search for fellow dungeoneers once more... There must be some out there!
